About this treatment
Tooth decay (dental caries) slowly creates holes, or cavities, in the hard surface of a tooth. Treated early, a cavity can usually be repaired with a simple filling after the decayed part is removed.
Regular check-ups help find decay while it is small, which generally means simpler treatment.
